With only three weeks of filming left in the Marvin Gaye biopic, filming has been stopped for the past month. Initially it was due to problems with getting certain filming locations which then led to schedule conflicts with actors' schedules. However, different sources are reporting that there have been financing issues and the future of the film is uncertain. Crew members have apparently not been paid in full as a result of a cash flow problem with an American investor, however, it has been suggested that this has been resolved. Focus Features, who boarded with the film in April, has now dropped out. Stay tuned for further development. (Screen Daily) (Shadow and Act) (Vibe) (The Playlist)
